I even tried a friends joycon to see if the problem was my joycons or my ring con and it seems to be that the ring con is broken in some way. [UPDATE] Joy Con Droid not working on switch firmware 12. My right joy-con works perfectly when attached to the console or when playing 1-2-switch but I can't use it when playing singly for games like Mario Kart etc. I tried disconnecting all the controllers and resyncinhg them, recalibrating the controllers, and changing the grip/order, but nothing will get it to connect once I detach it from the console.
